The Education ICT Service invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for the vacancy of a General Adviser with responsibility for ICT.
This is a fixed term contract for the summer term 2012 (April – July). We would be happy to receive applications from teachers whose school was able to release them for a one term secondment.
The role will involve working within the E-Learning Team to guide, promote and support the use of technology in Primary, Nursery and Special Schools in Cambridgeshire. The position requires enthusiasm and expertise with extensive knowledge and practice of working with technology in the classroom. We are looking for strong commitment to school improvement with an awareness of the role of on-line learning and significant experience of teaching innovatively and creatively using ICT. The ability to travel to schools and other venues within county is essential.
This team provides services to schools who are transforming teaching and learning through the use of ICT and embedding it in everyday practice. Key activities revolve around advice, training and consultancy; the management and development of Starz, the county’s learning platform for Nursery and Primary age children and advising schools on the implications of national developments such as changes to the national curriculum.
For an informal discussion, please contact Sally Elding on 01480 376655.
Interviews are to be held on 22nd February 2012.
