Swindon Borough Council owns a housing stock of approx 11,000 homes including a mix of bungalows, flats, maisonettes, Railway Village cottages, sheltered housing schemes and houses.
In this pivotal role you will be responsible for delivering capital programmes of work, including central heating systems and mechanical passenger lifts and maintenance in line with agreed policies and budgets. Ensuring a high quality of work is delivered to tenants and leaseholders, you will also be responsible for surveying and providing technical solutions about any central heating systems installed in domestic dwellings.
With an advanced Craft Certification in plumbing and gas you will also possess a CITB accredited certificate and be gas safe registered. You should have a detailed knowledge of gas safety regulations along with excellent verbal communication skills. A full driving licence and car, or equivalent mobility is also required.
