MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Installation of new and replacement gas central heating systems and appliances in a wide variety of occupied and void domestic properties.
2. Replacement, alteration and installation of gas supplies.
3. Maintenance and servicing of all types of gas appliances and heating installations.
4. Landlords gas safety checks and certification.
5. Reporting to, and supervised by Gas Installation Team Leader.
KEY ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Gas Safe registered. (Company and/or independent).
2. Experienced in the installation of domestic central heating installations.
3. Experienced in the maintenance and servicing of domestic gas appliances.
4. City and Guilds Final certificate in gas fitting or equivalent NVQ (minimum).
5. Full driving licence.
DUTIES TO BE UNDERTAKEN INCLUDE:
1. Installation of new gas central heating installations.
2. Replacement of defective gas fired appliances.
3. Replacement of failed gas central heating installations.
4. Replacement and installation of gas carcasses.
5. Landlords gas safety checks in voids properties.
6. Maintenance, repair and servicing of domestic gas appliances including participation in the out of hours emergency rota.

SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
Education/Training 1. ACS Qualified and Gas Safe registered.
2. Qualified to City and Guilds standard or equivalent NVQ in gas fitting/heating installation.
13. Commercial/LPG/
Additional ACS elements.
Relevant Experience 3. Installation, maintenance and servicing of gas heating systems and appliances.
Specialist knowledge / skills 4. Technical skill to carry out duties to highest standard and acceptable level of productivity.
5. Respect for, and ability to communicate with customers.
6. Able to work with colleagues.
7. Respect for health and safety, and cleanliness of workplace.
8. Willing to work with apprentices.
14. Significant experience and/or qualification.
15. Specific appliance/electrical training.
