This is an exciting opportunity to support the recruitment, training and development of Kingston’s foster and kinship carers.
You will be based in the Partnership and Workforce Development Team but work very closely with the Adoption and Fostering Team. Your role will involve assessing the training needs of foster carers and kinship carers and arranging training to meet these needs.
You must be willing to work flexible hours as some of the training has to be delivered outside office hours.
For applicants with limited experience of training we will be happy to sponsor the successful applicant to undertake a training qualification.
For this post it is essential that you:
• Be a registered social worker with the GSCC
• Have experience of working with foster carers
• Have working knowledge of child care legislation
• Have some experience of delivering training
• Have an understanding of the needs of children in care
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed to multidisciplinary working with the ability to work closely with colleagues.
In return we can offer you:
• A friendly and supportive working environment
• Full induction, regular supervision and appraisals.
• Excellent training and development opportunities
• Competitive salary.
