This is an opportunity to shape the future of food policy in Bristol. Working on behalf of Bristol City Council and Bristol Primary Care Trust, you will bring together the food, health and environmental sustainability agendas, developing a coordinated approach to food policy. Your responsibilities will include promoting the role of food in health, wellbeing and sustainability communities, and embedding this in council policy and practice. You will also be an active contributor to Bristol Partnership’s food and health strategy. An early priority will be the development of healthy and sustainable eating guidelines for use in the procurement of catering.

We are looking for someone who wants to be a champion for policy and practice in this area, and who has a strong policy background, comprehensive knowledge of the current food, health and sustainability agendas, and a commitment to partnership working.
