Located in the centre of Strood, the Environmental Health Service provides a range of services covering food and safety and environmental protection disciplines. We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals who can think creatively and identify new approaches and solutions to delivering services. Working closely with the Environmental Health Manager and Head of Service, both officers will be fully qualified environmental health professionals with a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience.
Our Food and Safety Team Leader will soon be taking off to work for Sydney City Council. This provides an opportunity for the right individual to join a forward thinking Environmental Health Service to lead and further develop this well respected team of officers.
With a strong background in food and health and safety you will be self-motivated and enthusiastic with the confidence and ability to take the professional lead on all food and safety elements of the service.
You will be joining a team that has a track record of delivering a number of high profile initiatives including a successful Safer Food Better Business campaign. We have also been fully involved in partnership working initiatives with the HSE and we are forerunners in the national flexible warranting scheme.
