The Flying Start Programme require a Childcare Assistant working 24 hours per week over 42 weeks. You will be responsible to the Childcare Leader/Deputy and will assist in providing high quality childcare for the flying start programme.
24 per week – 42 weeks per year
You will work cooperatively with the Childcare Leader and other staff members to establish effective relationships with parents/carers and children in the catchment areas.
You will assist the Leader and Deputy in registering and maintaining the standards of the Care and Social Service Inspectorate of Wales.
You will hold a NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development or CACHE Early Years and Childcare Diploma level 3 or equivalent. Knowledge of high quality childcare provision and child protection protocols will be essential along with knowledge of educational and health development of children under 5.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
