Key Responsibilities
You will be based in one of the Council’s Accountancy teams but will benefit from short placements in other finance functions. Your role will include participating in the budget setting and financial control processes for major areas of service. Working with central departments helping develop business plans, control budgets and develop systems to improve the efficiency of service delivery as well as providing support to major projects within the Council.

Minimum Requirements
You will need :-
• a degree (2:1 or higher) in any discipline and have 3 GCSE’s (grades A-C) and 2 A-levels (grades A-C) or equivalents, subjects must include Maths and English at either level.

• Excellent numeric, written and oral skills are a must.

Interview/Assessment Dates
Initial interview via telephone followed by an assessment day on Friday 21st August 2009 – incorporating interview(s), presentation and exercises.
