The Redditch Sure Start Children’s Centres are part of the Government’s strategy to improve support for families and children. Redditch has 6 children Centres in total and our vision is that:

FAMILY SUPPORT TEAM LEADER

£27,052 – £28,636 per annum, pro rata
24 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2011
Subject to Job Evaluation
The successful applicant will be required to manage a team of children’s Centres Support Workers in delivering innovative ways of improving the health, social, intellectual and emotional well-being of young children and families within Children’s Centres. You will be responsible for the implementation of Family Support provision within designated Children’s Centre areas. This will involve working closely with health colleagues, the wider Children’s Centre team, parents and other agencies to meet the Children’s Centre core offer in terms of family support and parental outreach.
You will need to have experience of managing a family caseload, managing staff and working in a multi-agency environment. For this post you will need a Health Visiting or Social Work Degree or equivalent.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 12 noon, Tuesday 6th April 2010. Interviews will be held on Monday 19th April 2010.
