The West Berkshire Family Placement Team covers the full range of fostering, adoption , private fostering, short breaks and post adoption support services. We are looking for a manager who is committed to maintaining the high standards of the service –We have a committed, skilled and knowledgeable social work team, with excellent administrative support.
Children’s and Young People’s Services in West Berkshire Council, are an authority rated as ‘Good’ in the CAA process with strong and stable social work teams, supported by regular supervision and appraisals and with excellent training and staff development.
We have an outstanding Fostering service and Youth Offending Team, good adoption and private fostering services and a range of high quality statutory and third sector services for disabled children. We are one of the first Councils to set up Integrated Locality Teams and we are supported by an excellent range of Preventive and Early Intervention services.
We have recently moved to a more “flexible working” style and have moved into new offices in the centre of Newbury.
