Dunstable Town Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic events and marketing officer.
As one of the largest Town Councils in the country, we are committed to delivering good quality, community events and require an individual who has the ability to manage, develop and implement the Council’s event programme. The post holder will also have the responsibility for coordinating the marketing and promotion of all the Council’s activities and services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of managing and delivering events, including health and safety aspects of event management. In addition, the Council is seeking an individual with knowledge and experience of a variety of marketing techniques.
Reporting to the Head of Community Services, the post holder will be working across a number of events and teams. Therefore you must be a good team player and committed to partnership working.
This is an exciting time for Dunstable Town Council, having recently undertaken a review of its events programme. We are now at the stage of implementing the review, and are looking for someone to play a key role in further developing the events programme.
The events take place largely at weekends, and therefore the post holder must be able to work some weekends and evenings.
Enhanced CRB disclosure will be required.
