PART-TIME EQUALITY and DIVERSITY OFFICERS
Salary Band E – £11,110 – £12,736 per annum
Post 1 (18.125 hrs/wk) would cover Charnwood, Melton and Hinckley & Bosworth
Post 2 (18.125 hrs/wk) would cover Blaby, Oadby & Wigston, Harborough
The district and borough councils of Leicestershire are looking to recruit two part time Equality and Diversity Officers for one year.
This is an exciting new role which will provide advice and support to members and officers of the Partnership District Councils in Leicestershire on Equality, Diversity and Human Rights. This role will lead on implementing the Partnership authorities agreed Equality and Diversity action plans. You will also lead on a range of projects concerned with supporting the development and introduction of equality frameworks and other related initiatives.
You must have experience and knowledge of current and forthcoming Equality legislation and experience of implementing strategic equality and diversity policies, as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
