This post will co-ordinate the development of our Equality Scheme, Impact Assessments and equalities policies. It will identify and introduce practical steps and monitor their success so we make continuous progress with our equality duties. It will also act as the main source of advice to all staff on relevant legislation, policies and service delivery issues.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience of equalities work and a good understanding of the duties and responsibilities local government has to meet. An ability to or experience of introducing new working practices is also essential as is an understanding of the different service delivery issues affecting minority groups.
