Location This position is located in the Letchworth Garden City in North Hertfordshire. North Hertfordshire is located less than 40 miles from central London, is a predominantly rural district and contains interesting market towns and several picturesque villages. The District is an attractive area in which to live and work.

We take the protection of the environment seriously and aim to have a real impact on the quality of life of our residents. This post is in a dedicated team dealing with a diverse workload including the regulation of contaminated land, air quality, noise control, industrial processes, private water supplies and the evaluation of the environmental impacts arising from planning and licensing applications. You will also be involved with a number of significant development schemes planned for North Hertfordshire and the control of noise from concerts at Knebworth Park.

You must have a recognised qualification in Environmental Health and be EHORB registered or be in the final year of study for such a qualification and committed to achieving EHORB registration with six months of appointment. You will have relevant knowledge and experience, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm for and commitment to making a difference in North Herts.
