Are you up to the challenge of delivering a Referendum in the next 12 months, which could be the beginning of significant change in the way elections are delivered in the future? We are looking for a forward thinking manager to fulfil this important role within the Chief Executive’s Directorate.
You will have the ability to organise and administer open, fair and professional elections. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organised person, with a proven track record of working under pressure, effectively delivering time-driven projects. You will provide advice on complex electoral law and procedural matters. Preparation and management of budgets for electoral services will also form part of your role.
You must possess good political awareness, be able to go the extra mile and demonstrate the ability to inspire confidence in the electorate, Councillors and the Returning Officer.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential together with an ability to successfully manage a busy, committed team. You will need to be computer literate and adept with at least one of the relevant IT systems supporting electoral services.
