We are looking to appoint a Manager, experienced in Electoral procedures, who will ensure not only that we continue to deliver an excellent electoral service, but who has the drive and commitment to continue to develop the service and the staff team.

The post holder will be responsible for preparing and maintaining an accurate electoral register, organising and playing a leading role in conducting all local, Parliamentary and European parliamentary elections in the Borough, and major referenda. He or she will act as a Deputy Returning Officer in those elections. He or she will also work with colleagues on developing and implementing initiatives to encourage more residents to participate in democratic activities

In addition to a thorough knowledge of electoral law, and practical experience of preparing the annual register of electors and in all aspects of electoral services, candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent management and leadership skills.
