A rare opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Practitioner to join our highly motivated and creative Educational Psychology Team. As well as providing a consultation service to a group of schools you will be expected to take the lead in strategic planning and delivery of services that identify and meet the needs of children and young people with social and communication needs (ASD) within Lewisham.

Lewisham is at the forefront of developments for children’s services in line with Government thinking. We are based in a new building co-located alongside health and social care professionals. We have high ambitions to apply psychology in a reflective and creative way to improve the life chances for children and young people in Lewisham. We are developing ways of working across disciplinary boundaries and especially value team work and innovative practice. We aim to apply evidence based psychology within our schools and our community.

Following the creation of the new Inclusion Service you will have the opportunity to shape our vision for the future contributing to the development of multi-agency approaches to meet the needs of children and young people with ASD in a wide range of settings. You will be a psychologist with both excellent communication, consultation and negotiation skills with creativity and vision to work at a strategic level.
