We are seeking a qualified teacher with extensive experience of the early years sector to join the Early Childhood Team on a secondment, starting as soon as possible until 31st August 2012.
This is a challenging and exciting role focusing on quality improvement in early years settings within the maintained, private and voluntary sectors.
Main responsibilities will be :
- Working with early years providers identifying priorities for improvement to promote high quality practice.
- Supporting the implementation of the revised EYFS.
- Working with other teams to promote high quality early years education and childcare
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A willingness to learn and to extend his/her own knowledge and skills
- A passionate interest in early childhood pedagogy and effective skills of communicating best practice
- Embedded knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile
- Knowledge of the Bristol Standard Quality Improvement process
