Property Group is a complex business responsible for the management and strategic overview of the Councils wide range of property assets.
As well as formulating strategic policy and providing professional advice to Members and officers, the Group is responsible for best value procurement and ongoing management of a large external supply chain, ensuring delivery of the Councils ambitious Capital programme and ongoing buildings related activity.
Are you the individual to lead this activity for the County Council?
A property professional with a broad management background, your role will be to build on the measures already in place to ensure effective use of the County’s property resource and to direct activities including: -
• Ongoing development of public sector ‘partnership’ with regard to Asset Management, driving best value and efficiency for the wider public sector
• Management of KCC’s portfolio of over 1800 properties worth over £1.3bn
• A large office estate of mixed tenure accommodation for over 5000 office based staff
• Delivery of more than £1/2 bn capital expenditure on property over the next 3 years
Effective communication across all stakeholders will be key to the success of this role, as will the ability to drive forwards a strategic agenda whilst ensuring operational delivery.
