The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher, who is a committed and motivated practitioner, to replace the present post-holder who retires in August.
Newlands School was opened in September 2007 following the re-organisation of special school provision in Rochdale. It is a new, purpose built school co-located with Hollin primary school. Newlands is a generic school for pupils with diverse and complex learning difficulties. At present there are 52 pupils aged 3-11 years, with capacity to take up to 70 pupils. In May 2009 Ofsted reported “Newlands is a good school with some outstanding aspects”.
We wish to appoint an outstanding leader and manager with the enthusiasm, skills, energy and vision to help develop the school further.
