ELTON PRIMARY SCHOOL, ALSTON STREET, BURY BL8 1SB (Tel: 0161 705 2674) DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER (Leadership Spine Points 8 – 12 £44,525 to £49,130 per annum) REF: 1483 Required for September 2012 Due to the retirement of the current post holder, the children, staff and Governing Body at Elton Primary School are looking for a dynamic Deputy Head Teacher to support them on their next stage of development. The school is seeking an inspirational leader with a passion for education and achievement. We are proud of our commitment to the overall well-being of our children and the curriculum enrichment opportunities we provide and wish to recruit an individual who is committed to the development of the whole child. We are looking for someone with proven leadership experience, a good working knowledge of Special Educational Needs and the ability to further develop an extensive staff team. The successful candidate will: Be an outstanding teacher with an excellent record of classroom practice and high expectations of behaviour and achievement. Be committed to raising standards for all pupils. Have excellent leadership qualities and vision. Have commitment to working in a whole school team and leading by example. Be able to inspire and support colleagues in order to further develop our school’s many strengths. Work in partnership and communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, Governors and outside agencies.
