The Point, Eastleigh is one of the south east’s liveliest performing arts venues with a full professional programme of theatre, dance and film. The Dance development manager leads the busy dance department which forms part of The Point’s highly developed arts outreach team.
This role exists to programme and manage a range of professional and community dance projects at The Point and across Eastleigh borough.
This role is a perfect opportunity for an experienced dance professional to join the team at The Point at an exciting time of expansion and development. November sees the opening of phase3, a landmark new residential creation space, and this role will be instrumental in the delivery of its exciting first programme.
The role requires a good understanding of the current UK dance scene and extensive experience of dance in community and professional settings.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage a complex workload. They will also be able to think strategically and creatively.
