The Point, Eastleigh is one of the south east’s liveliest performing arts venues with a full professional programme of dance, theatre and film.

We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate to work as a Dance Intern within the busy dance department at The Point.

The role will provide support for the department, including administrating and co-ordinating The Point’s dance classes programme, education workshops and community projects. The Dance Intern will also assist with The Point Youth Dance Company, attending rehearsals and performances and carrying out all administration for the company.

This placement provides a unique opportunity for a keen individual to gain invaluable and varied experience of working in a professional dance venue as part of a busy, dynamic team. As part of the role you will benefit from a number of training opportunities, networking events and professional development.

The successful applicant will be able to show initiative and understand dance in a community context. Strong administrative, communication and IT skills are important and a real passion for the arts is essential.
