Our Customer Services team give advice to the public on a range of services delivered by the Council. Currently the main services are Council Tax and Housing Benefit but this range of services is widening all the time to give an improved service to the public.
We currently have a vacancy in our Contact Centre team where staff resolve customer enquiries made mainly by phone but also by email, through our website and by post.
The right candidate will have experience of understanding customer needs and explaining complex information to them. You will need to be comfortable working with a variety of standard and bespoke software packages. You will also need excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with stressful situations.
We are open to our customers from 8.30am to 6pm on weekdays. Opening hours are currently being reviewed and you may be required to work some Saturdays on a rota basis in the future. We are looking for somebody to work full time on a rota basis within these hours.
