The Council receives an enormous amount of feedback from customers, expressing their views on services and service delivery. The Customer Relations team is expanding to take on the role of converting this feedback into action.
Based at Conquest House in Kingston, the Customer Relations Officer is a diverse role providing administrative support and assistance to the Customer Relations team. It includes dealing directly with correspondence and calls from the public concerning complaints, maintaining business processes and systems, gathering data and preparing reports, and liaison with Services and the Local Government Ombudsman.
You must be able to demonstrate organisational and letter writing skills, confidence using new IT systems, and a basic understanding of the Council’s policies and procedures for customer feedback. You should also have experience of effectively managing difficult customer situations.
