As part of a refreshment of its corporate safety functions it is seeking to improve the effectiveness of its Health and Safety function.

Corporate Safety Team Leader Ref: B10665 Central London £37,368 – £39,987 pa
Plus pension, annual leave package and interest free season ticket The council seeks a highly talented, pro-active and enthusiastic health and safety professional to lead the Corporate Safety advisers in this new role. You will provide advice, training and support at both strategic and operational level, to ensure all managers and staff are fully aware of their health and safety responsibilities. This post reports to the Safety Manager. Previous management skills would be an advantage.

Applicants must have substantial experience as a health and safety practitioner. You must have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and be CMIOSH or equivalent. Excellent communication skills will be required so as to be able to lead, manage and motivate your team to deliver consistently high levels of performance.

Corporate Safety Officer Ref: B10666 Corporate Safety Officer (Fire Specialist)Ref: B10667 Central London £34,605 – £37,368 pa

Plus pension, annual leave package and interest free season ticket Within this operational role you will develop relevant policies, procedures and guidelines and provide advice to Elected Members, Senior Management and employees. You will also help to deliver health and safety projects and initiatives.

You will have substantial experience as a health and safety practitioner, and possess at minimum a NEBOSH general or construction certificate or equivalent and be a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.

The specialist Fire Officer must be qualified to FSAED Programme Modules 1-6 or equivalent or hold a NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.
