Cook 2 -APTC 2 SPINAL POINT 11 £16482 FTE =£8.780 per hour

Havering Catering Services provide the catering in the majority of schools within the borough. We currently have a number of vacancies, as detailed below. A cook 4 is responsible for supervising the site and its staff, cooking, ordering and any related paperwork. Cook 3’s and cook 2’s will be expected to cover the site in the absence of the supervisor for which appropriate training will be given. They will also have some additional responsibilities within the kitchen on a regular basis the difference being that a cook 3 will be covering a site with a larger turnover. A cook 1’s duties include basic food preparation, serving and general cleaning duties. All posts are permanent unless stated otherwise, flexible hours may be reduced at certain times of the year if sales drop at the site.

The successful applicant will need to have supervisory experience preferably in a catering environment and must have a recent hygiene qualification.
