The Contracting and Procurement Team are seeking to appoint a Contract Development Manager. The main emphasis of this post is to assist in the development of the departmental strategic contracting framework and contracts to support the Department’s purchasing of cost-effective services.

Within this role you will need to have the ability to organise the contracting process for tendering and selection of contracts, develop contracts and conduct contract negotiation. You must be able to prepare and manage Social Care contracts, translate the commissioning strategy into procurement solutions, liaise and negotiate with people from a variety of backgrounds, and write clear and concise contractual agreements and reports on the award of contracts.

The successful applicant will be a self starter, have very good computer skills, be very organised, be able to prioritise a busy work schedule, have the ability to communicate with all staff including senior managers and external service providers, and have good experience of managing projects.
