Using your business acumen and knowledge of what makes a difference can you build a better future for children in Stockport through effective joint commissioning?
The building blocks for our future successes are in place, our children’s services are among the best in the country and we are now working toward robust joint commissioning arrangements with the PCT. You’ll help take us further as part of a team where no two days are quite the same. The role is varied, exciting and essential.
As for the people you will work with colleagues, service users and partners are diverse, and as part of this team you will collaborate with them to make a difference to children’s outcomes combining innovation and good business practice with energy and fresh ideas.
As part of the team you will be self motivated, flexible and always outcomes focussed. You will be in a key position within the Trust to advise on all options including joint commissioning for re shaping service provision and ensure service developments are in line with local and national strategies.
You will negotiate and monitor contractual arrangements with service providers, setting standards within a performance management framework to achieve high quality, affordable services which meet the needs of our service users and those who support them.
As an experienced manager with a understanding of business practice in either public or private settings, you will have thorough knowledge of the government’s modernisation agenda for Children’s Services. You will be committed to partnership working to commission services and have experience in promoting equality, diversity and social inclusion.
This post is a great opportunity to gain experience in an effective children’s trust with the potential for wide ranging influence across the complete range of children resources in both local and specialised services and across professional disciplines. Stockport Council – Valuing Diversity
