Like any organisation, we don’t want anything to get in the way of getting on with business, and part of our business involves dealing with major incidents that might affect our community. So we need to make sure that we’re always in a position to respond to major incidents and remain operational. And in this role, you’ll play a part in helping us do that.

Supporting two neighbouring Surrey districts – Reigate & Banstead and Mole Valley – you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining our emergency and business continuity plans, as well as assisting with training and exercises. So whatever the incident, you’ll have made sure the appropriate plans are in place to make sure our operational functions are not disrupted.

Business Continuity Management or Emergency Planning experience is important, but we are equally looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, planning and communication skills as you’ll often need to convey complex information and ensure that you are always understood. You’ll also need to be competent in the design, development and delivery of training and exercises and you’ll need a full manual driving licence.
