This is a fantastic time to join the newly formed Children and Young People Service. Following an internal re-organisation we have a number of vacant posts available.

You can play a key part in developing and implementing strategies to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and young people in Newham. We are committed to developing high performing services that are seamlessly integrated, placing young people and their families at the centre of our service provision.

For all posts a Social Work degree ( qualification) and registration with General Council for Social Care (GCSC) is essential.

Consulting Social Workers

You will have the chance to make available to all children, young people and families in Newham a first class universal service that fulfils their potential, and when they need additional support, provide services that are local and easily accessible.

There are opportunities in the following teams: Safeguarding Assessment, Corporate Parenting-Fostering and Children Looked After.

As the Council has a normal retirement age of 65, the maximum age for recruiting new employees will usually be 64 1/2.
