Asbestos Co-ordinator

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Location: 33-35 Jamestown Road, London, NW1 7DB

Salary: £32,532 – £35,055

Camden Council currently have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer with excellent working experience of asbestos management to join their Repairs and Improvements division.

You will be responsible for managing day to day commissioning of asbestos surveys, overall ensuring our team is an effective client for asbestos management. You will be required to deliver customer focused solutions, ensuring compliance with professional standards, best practice that is in line with our business objectives and work in partnership with third party contractors and various teams.

Role Requirements

We are looking for an exceptional Compliance Officer who is experienced in managing the compliance of an Asbestos service within a housing environment. Working in a similar capacity, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the building construction process and the ability to manage fire safety work programmes. In order to make a successful application, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Be an asbestos qualified professional ideally working in a similar co-ordination role with another LA or RSL.
• British Occupational Health Service standards P401, P402 and P405
• Minimum three years experience of managing the compliance of the Asbestos Service in a housing environment
• Full understanding and working knowledge of HSG264
• Ability to work pro-actively
