We have an exciting opportunity for a new Complaints Officer to work within the Council’s recently formed Quality and Commissioning directorate. There are 2 posts: 1 × 37hrs and the other is a post for 37hrs with the possibility of a job share equating to 18.5hrs per person.

Working flexibly as part of multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping to embed a modern commissioning approach to ensure that our resources are used in the most efficient, effective and sustainable way to improve outcomes for Nottingham’s citizens.

The Complaints Officer will provide a high quality customer service to people using social care services and their relatives/carers when dealing with their complaints and share the outcomes of any investigations to inform future improvements in practice.

You will manage a varied case load and ensure that all complaints are thoroughly investigated and responded to in accordance with The Local Authority Social Services and National Health Service Complaints Regulations.2009 & Children’s Regulations 2006.

Personal confidence, integrity, flexibility and a commitment to achieving timely and positive outcomes, are key to making this role a success. You will have good negotiating skills, self-motivation and excellent organisational ability.

Some knowledge of Social Care service delivery would be desirable

Full induction training will be provided.
