Thanet is a beautiful place to work
Thanet is a great place to live and work. Our historic seaside towns of Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs are rich in heritage and opportunity. From the multi-million pound Turner Contemporary Gallery, the planned fast speed rail link to London, and the popular Westwood Cross shopping centre – this is an exciting time to join Thanet District Council. We are determined to improve the quality of life for local people. We believe that by listening to local people, working in active partnership and by being prepared to do things in an innovative way we can accelerate improvement and best meet the challenges ahead.
Thanet Community Safety Partnership’s main responsibility is to reduce crime, tackle anti-social behaviour and improve the perception of how people in Thanet feel about crime.
As a co-ordinator, you will support the Community Safety Manager in achieving these aims, delivering key projects and tactical plans. You will need to have experience in project management and partnership working, as well as having an extensive knowledge of community safety issues and key legislation.
All posts include generous annual leave, flexible working (some posts excluded), a 37-hour week, subsidised bus pass, as well as access to the local government final salary pension scheme.
