This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2012, primarily looking at developing and increasing opportunities for people with a learning disability in line with the government strategy ‘Valuing People Now.’
We are looking for a development worker within our learning disability service who is enthusiastic and motivated in seeking a range of opportunities and career development opportunities for individuals.
Candidates should be proactive, enthusiastic and committed, with the determination to drive this service forward. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with a Learning Disability and the ability to enable people to overcome them. A varied and active role which, although can be challenging at times, is rewarding in the fact that you are having a positive impact on people’s lives.
As a modern and forward thinking service we would encourage staff to seek a range of new opportunities to individuals we support.
The service potentially operates seven days a week and you may be required to work flexibly and undertake duties which are compatible with the needs of the service.
