Community Development Officer (Bangladeshi Community)
£22,221 – £30,581 pa, pro rata
20 hours per week
(including some evenings and weekends)
Fixed term until March 2013
You will work closely with all Bangladeshi groups within the city to create cohesion, build their collective capacity to access information and services, and develop activities within their community. You’ll also strengthen the Council’s relationship with the community to ensure we are more informed about their needs.
You’ll come to us with experience of managing projects in a community development setting, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. Your detailed knowledge of the cultural issues within the Bangladeshi communities in Cambridge and ability to raise awareness of local democratic processes will make you stand out from the crowd.
