Broxbourne Council and the Police work in partnership to improve community safety and respond to the needs of the local community. The post holder will work with the Broxbourne Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, to improve the range and quality of communication about community reassurance.
An enthusiastic, energetic, experienced communicator is sought. You will need to demonstrate communication skills both written and verbal and have a comprehensive knowledge of communication methods. Duties will include liaising with the media, preparing press releases, maintaining websites, producing publications, organising events, some photography and compiling reports. You will also have the ability to organise and co-ordinate events and develop website/social networking.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have practical experience of communicating, using a variety of the methods. It is essential that you should be ICT literate, including Excel and PowerPoint and use of web design packages. A full driving licence is essential.
