Redbridge Adult Social Services “Serving People Excellently”.

The Commissioning Functional Unit within Redbridge Adult Social Services is at an exciting phase in their ongoing development. It is our goal to commission outcome focused value for money services and offer an excellent placement and brokerage service. This is your chance to join an evolving Commissioning functional unit working to commission high quality services, negotiate and broker the best care packages and placements for service users whilst providing value for money for the Council.

You will be responsible for Commissioning Adult Social Care services especially services for people with high and long term support needs, and undertake the procurement process. As a Commissioning Officer you will manage a portfolio of contracts and work with providers to ensure services are outcomes focused, of high quality and provide value for money. You will work closely with the Procurement and Brokerage Officers to identify the gaps and commission appropriate services through developing and stimulating the market.

Interviews will be held on: 13 & 14 March 2012

For the above post we are seeking applicants with a background in social care, housing or health and experience of service development, commissioning and procurement, and brokerage. You should be highly motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player but able to work on your own initiative, an effective project manager and be able to use IT effectively.
