As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will carry out the enforcement of parking restrictions by patrolling, on foot and by vehicle, yellow lines, on-street parking control areas as agents for North Yorkshire County Council and Council-run car parks throughout Harrogate District. You will monitor car parking and, if necessary, issue penalty charge notices to vehicles contravening the parking controls in force. You will also undertake minor maintenance tasks relating to car parking, which includes the testing and re-stocking of pay and display machines.
You will have previous experience of dealing with the public in a calm and tactful manner and you enjoy working on your own initiative. This post involves working outside in all weathers. Full training will be given and a uniform provided.
Working hours : 37 hours per week, on a five day over seven rota, which includes Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, working between the hours of 6.45am to midnight over seven days.
