Both Milefield and Buttercup Children’s Centre are looking for someone who: Has excellent organisational and management skills and experience of leading outstanding practice in the Early Years Will be able to enthusiastically develop provision that meets the individual needs of children and their families Has an early years qualification (level 3 or equivalent) and a commitment to continuing professional development • Understands the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Sure Start Core Offer and Every Child Matters agenda • Is committed to the outreach approach to supporting families Has excellent communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with children, staff, parents and a range of other agencies Has substantial experience of supervising a diverse team (this would be required in the absence of the Children’s Centre manager) • A professional, flexible approach to a diverse role within the community.
