Social Workers in Rotherham are co-located with other disciplines from education and health, and this helps us to prevent vulnerable children and family from being missed.

We have a nationally recognised Newly Qualified Social Worker Support Programme, enabling us to support protected caseloads and enhanced supervision. Our offer to newly qualified staff includes specific training in assessment work and the individual support of one of our experienced Social Work Practice Consultants. We have a wide range of posts available working within teams across the Borough, with a PQ guarantee for all staff employed in front line Social Work.

Effective from 1/4/2011 for 1 year there is a 1.15% temporary reduction from the advertised substantive salary as quoted and a temporary postponement of any annual increments.
