In Redbridge we are proud of our fully operational and integrated Children’s Trust, delivering joined up Health, Social Care and Education Services. Situated in an attractive part of North East London, serving a large diverse community, we are located just 20 minutes away by tube from Central London.

Joining us will give you the opportunity to participate in the continuous development of a multi-agency service and in return you will receive supportive management and access to quality training and development.

Each post will manage a busy Child Protection & Assessment Team and have responsibility for a team of staff who undertake assessments of children, families and carers using the relevant assessment framework.

You must be a qualified and GSCC registered social worker with previous experience of managing people in a similar setting and be able to support staff to work with families and provide executive support to the Service Manager.

You will be responsible for the allocation of work and implementation of service delivery in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards for the service. You must therefore be able to make prompt and effective decisions on referrals and progressing cases including child protection and section 47 investigations and assessments.

These are challenging, but rewarding roles which provide scope for innovative thinking and continuous service improvement. Applicants must have the ability to communicate skilfully and effectively, both in writing and verbally, with people at all levels and, as our staff are very important to us, you will need to have a proven track record in providing effective supervision and performance management.

If you’ve got what it takes and are looking for the next step in your social work career, then come and join us.

Interviews will be held week commencing 4th and 10th May 2010
