The Cemeteries & Crematoria Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated staff member to manage the City’s cemeteries on a day to day basis in line with statutory legislation and relevant codes of practice. Responsible for a number of staff you will ensure that burials and exhumations are carried out correctly, that grounds and building maintenance meets the required criteria whilst overseeing the Memorial Masons Charter.
You will be expected to produce and implement site specific management plans and ensure that the service meets its health and safety obligations. In a professional and caring manner you should resolve sensitive issues and liaise with all service users. Due to the sensitivity of the service provided there is no room for error and as such candidates must be prepared to work to strict deadlines within a high pressured work environment.
