Fixed Term for one year in the first instance.
KCC Country Parks’ Service has a mobile catering van which will provide refreshments for visitors at Teston Bridge Country Park and maybe other country parks.
We require a Catering Supervisor to run our mobile catering van, and provide a range of healthy and interesting foods and beverages which tie in with the ethos of the Country Parks’ service. As well as taking an active role in the day to day running of the unit you will take responsibility for staff supervision and appraisal, drawing up rotas, ordering of produce, forward planning for service delivery, counting takings, monitoring of stock and income reporting overall performance and ensuring compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations.
On the days you work, you will take full responsibility for the daily running of the facility including driving the unit to and from site. You will be responsible for the preparation and serving of food and providing a warm visitor welcome. You will also be responsible for cleaning and tidying the unit in line with Food Hygiene Regulations.
You will be confident and friendly, with a positive attitude towards customer care. Previous experience in catering is essential, as is experience of working in a supervisory role. Some flexibility on working hours will be expected to cover staff absence.
