We are looking to recruit a number of casual staff to cover shifts in our expanding Communications Centre, based at Ley St Depot, which provides telephone response services to vulnerable persons across the Borough and the Council’s out of hour’s emergency contact for residents.
You will need to have experience of working in a telephone call-handling centre and of successfully dealing with demanding clients in a pressured environment, which requires excellent decision making skills.
The Communications Centre is open 24hrs per day for 365 days of the year and staff will be expected to be able to cover shifts at any time with appropriate notice. Enhanced payments are made in respect of weekend and bank holiday working.
