If you’re an experienced Social Worker who’s enthusiastic about the contribution social work can make to the mental health service, here’s your ideal opportunity.
You’ll be joining one of our busy and experienced multi-disciplinary CAMHS teams at an exciting time, with significant local developments currently being implemented.
You’ll play a key role in providing assessments, care plans and therapeutic interventions to children and young people presenting with mental health difficulties.
You’ll need some experience in the use of therapeutic tools such as brief solution focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy or family/systemic therapy, this role, seconded by Surrey Children’s Service, will significantly enhance your knowledge, assessment and therapeutic skills.
You’ll need to be experienced in working directly with children both individually and in groups, and familiar with the needs of children and young people whose mental health gives cause for concern. With proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll also understand national priorities in the field of child mental health, in particular the needs of looked after children and those requiring safeguarding services.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and POCA check will be required for this role.
