Manchester City Council is looking for an excellent communicator who can work with the Director of Communications. Our Communication plays a vital role in informing residents about the services, products and events that happen in our City. The role will encompass a broad remit in an exciting, challenging and dynamic environment. We are looking for a natural communicator who is well-versed in the mechanics of a busy director’s office. The candidate needs to demonstrate that they are a good organiser, who is flexible to changing demands, shows initiative and is resourceful. Strong administrative support coupled with a hunger for research, projects and liaison with people is essential. A background in marketing and / or communications would be an advantage as well as sound administrative support skills.
