This is a new post as the new bus station in Derby nears completion.

Using your extensive work experience or theoretical knowledge, you will take a lead role in the management of the bus station and city centre interchanges. You will be the Council’s main point of contact for the operation of these facilities including dealing with customers, liaising with the bus operators and ensuring the contractors responsible for looking after the site do so to the required standard. Other responsibilities will include liaising with the site developer and the development of the business plan for the site.

You will need a relevant degree, or significant experience of public transport operations, contract management and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with various parties. You will also require previous supervisory experience, be computer literate and able to use and analyse complex data to draft reports.
