| Location | This position is located in the Letchworth Garden City in North Hertfordshire. North Hertfordshire is located less than 40 miles from central London, is a predominantly rural district and contains interesting market towns and several picturesque villages. We wish to recruit a qualified building surveyor with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience to undertake a range of projects relating to the repair, maintenance and improvement of the Council’s operational premises, including the provision of a responsive repairs service.
Reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor, you will also assist with completion of a programme of condition surveys along with the implementation and running of a building compliance contract.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for upkeep of the Council’s surface car parks and public open space lighting systems. Candidates must be self-motivated and have a broad building surveying experience, along with experience of computer based building asset management systems and associated databases and possess Computer Aided Design skills.
