The key is innovation. The challenge is yours.
The Royal Borough’s Building Control Consultancy is driven by a single goal: to be the best at what we do. For our customers, that means a flexible multi-disciplined service that’s focused on their needs, delivered by a proactive team that provides expert guidance and support from design inception to completion. Our commitment to excellence has already seen the Consultancy win both LABC National and Regional Built In Quality Awards in 2007 and 2008.
Now we need an inspirational leader to spearhead the development of the service, forging a culture of constant improvement and innovation to achieve the highest standards.
A key element of this will be to build on the Customer Charter, ensuring that – with every project – we exceed client expectations. As well as co-ordinating all day-to-day operations, you’ll market and promote the business, develop partnerships, oversee financial management and create solutions to meet the needs of a wider and more public-facing Building Control agenda.
As part of the Council’s lead team in driving forward sustainability, you will also drive forward policies that reduce the impact of buildings upon natural resources. So an in-depth knowledge of sustainability initiatives including BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes is important. Proven experience at senior management level is essential, ideally with Full RICS or similar.
